Philippine Ombudsman under pressure to clear Gloria Arroyo's husband of multimillion dollar kickback allegations

There is hardly any doubt that the Lozada testimony has put on the pressure on [Philippine President Gloria Arroyo] and her criminal aides...

But what Gloria really fears, as she has her prostituted generals in her pocket by keeping them wealthy, is that even the police and military housing projects have been found to have been canceled, as the funds went into the ZTE-NBN kickback advances.

And she fears the most the [Catholic] bishops going against her, that is, if the bishops finally wake up to the reality that maintaining silence over these charges of corruption stems from their anointed, who is clearly evil, but whom they continue to embrace.

It need not be a call for people power. There is doubt that the bishops would get into this again, after their big fiasco over Edsa II, but calls for snap polls, if not outright resignation and a leave of absence at the very least, can be supported by the bishops--if they ever do.
